I don't have leftover calendars from other jobs or computers that I have to keep around. Works great! It will sync with multiple accounts. It's a MUI app but it syncs with my Google calendar in the cloud and with my N3 phone. For instance, I still use MUI Mail app for those reasons but use eM Client when I'm in desktop mode. because it's a little faster and convenient. For convenience I don't always use the desktop stuff but will pop open Mail, People etc. After I saw that that was working well, I decided I wanted a MUI calendar app that would also sync (MUI Calendar app wouldn't) with my N3. I then purchased eM Client (desktop Outlook type software) because it provides a lot of the functionality of Outlook but syncs to anything. After thinking about it for a while, I dumped the Outlook contacts leaving just the Google contacts on my phone (Google contacts were simply contacts imported from Outlook so I didn't have a problem there). I linked my MS account to my Google account, but contacts were iffy, calendar wasn't syncing (contacts would show up on my phone but I couldn't edit them as long as they were Outlook contacts from my phone - a real disadvantage).

I had troubles from the beginning with syncing, both in Outlook and MUI apps.

I got the N3, and I really like it! Never had an Android device before just Apple & Windows stuff. But then I decided, nice as the Nokia 920 was, I wanted more in a phone (didn't want 3 devices to keep up with just my SP3 & phone was what I was after), and after quite a bit of research, found the Galaxy Note 3 to be an excellent choice. Didn't find any posts with real answers to this issue. I'm unsure, but my presumption is that linking to the browser version of Google Calendars wouldn't actually work offline, right?Īnyways, I hope this is of value to someone. I also don't have 4g on the SP3 the way I did on my Thinkpad Tablet 2, so it needs to be able to work offline, which I think both of these apps do. On my previous device, however, I found this rather slow and clunky in terms of input, particularly when using the device as a tablet. Has anyone actually tried either of these and developed a more developed opinion? I could, of course, just pin the google calendar's website to my Start screen, I suppose. I think Gmail Calendar has ads/some bugs, but supposedly does things like provide reminders, etc. From my perusal, One Calendar seems to have fewer bugs, but also provides fewer features. The first is One Calendar, and the other is Gmail Calendar. I've just installed both, and so haven't really tried them out much, but they seem to do what they're supposed to- namely, sync Google Calendars to Windows devices. I haven't seen anyone post about this, and there's very little info on the web about them.
